While the focus is on major appellate level decisions in Florida and Virginia, a long-awaited ruling in the District of Middle Pennsylvania came down yesterday. Judge Christopher C. Connor ruled in favor of the Plaintiffs, a Mrs. Barbara Goudy-Bachman and her husband, Mr. Bachman, that ObamaCare's individual mandate is a violation of the Constitution.
Notably, this Court is the first one to sever the individual mandate AND several other provisions that the Court deemed related. From the order: "Accordingly, the court finds that the minimum coverage provision, guaranteed issue, and preexisting condition provisions must be severed from the Act."
This ruling is yet another victory for ObamaCare's challengers. Read more about this case here.
